Welcome to Book Whiskers! We like to whisk up stories and games and maybe a recipe or two.

We are a group of writers who remember what it was like to be a young reader hungry for excitement and adventure and danger and fun between the pages of a book.

When we were young, we were often told to “get your nose out of that book,” or, “no reading under the covers with a flashlight!” or, “why do you want to read when you could go for a swim in the freezing-cold, gritty, slimy lake that could possibly have big-mouthed scary things in it?”

We never lost our love of books. We love the way the pages smell. We love to get to the end of a book wishing it could go on and on. We especially love to meet kids who are curious, who love adventures, mysteries, magical worlds, fantastical creatures and cats and dogs and horses. And sometimes the kids we care about in books have to make hard choices in difficult times.
